News of the week

  • Falcons return to the nest – ÉðÊ¿Âþ»­ is officially in session! Classes began Monday for students in grades 9-12. . 
     
  • Senior picked for elite choir –Iris Whalen has been accepted to perform in the highly competitive Treble Chorus of the Conference All-State Music Festival later this year! Learn more about this amazing accomplishment.
     
  • In the chem lab –  to take a look at a typical day of learning in Brady McDevitt’s first-period Core Chemistry class!
     
  • Last chance senior portraits – Attention seniors: You will have an opportunity to get your senior portrait taken in December if you haven't done so, but you need to make an appointment. Upstate Images will be at school from Monday, Dec. 9-Thursday, Dec. 12. Learn more and reserve a spot.
     
  • 'Villian Cabaret' and prop donations – The Theater Ensemble will hold two performances of “Villain Cabaret” on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The ensemble also is looking for donations of clothing, furniture and household items to supplement their supply of props.   • Emergency drills next week – We will conduct an emergency drill during the week of Sept. 16-20.
     
  • Help with Hoco 2024 – Please consider contributing to this year's homecoming dance snack sale! Use  and thanks – in advance – for your support. All proceeds benefit the Class of 2025.

Important reminders

  • The ÉðÊ¿Âþ»­ Booster Club (ABC) needs your help – Please considering during the fall season. In addition to student-athletes, the ABC funds: author visits, our food pantry, marching band, robotics, indoor percussion, Junior ROTC and many more organizations and groups that make our district special!
  • Drop-off, pickup reminders – Please do NOT stop or park your vehicle on Washington Avenue in front of school when dropping off or picking up students. Instead, pull your vehicle into the school parking lot off Washington Avenue and form a waiting line. These procedures apply before, during and after the school day. The rules are in place because of the dangerous traffic situations caused by people dropping off or picking up students in front of school.
  • Student parking update –There will be no student parking on campus during September. However, juniors and seniors may apply online for limited spots in the Washington Avenue lot that will become available starting in October. Learn more and link to the parking application.
  • Visitor parking – Any visitors who park in the Washington Avenue lot should only park in the designated parking spaces and should not park on the yellow crosshatched lines.
  • Attention grades 10-11! - ÉðÊ¿Âþ»­ will administer the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8:30 a.m. There is no school this day due to staff development and parent-teacher conferences.   The cost is $18.
