The Capital District Urban School Invitational Art Show is an opportunity to highlight the artwork of local, urban art students and explore their unique view that is reflected in their artwork. This is a way to celebrate those qualities with a new opportunity that will allow art students specifically from urban settings to share their work with a wider audience.
This show is not a juried show, all the artwork submitted by teachers was included in the show. There is not a strict theme to this invitational but rather a focus on the urban art student. Work that was selected was based on a student’s unique experiences, expressiveness, or mastery of technique.
