Following the Falcons' 44-2 victory over Bethlehem last week, the junior was nominated for the Times Union's Athlete of the Week recognition.
During that domination, Gates registered 160 yards rushing, 120 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
The voting closes Wednesday evening and the winner (let's make it Azera!) will be announced by noon Thursday.
