On Tuesday, some 20 incoming fourth-grade STEMinistas cuddled chickens, made seed balls, checked out a solar-powered pontoon, discussed the ecosystem and learned about environmental stewardship at The Radix Center in ÉðÊ¿Âþ»’s South End.

Their lessons were part of a two-week enrichment program for the STEMinistas, a group of science-minded girls taking part in a range of hands-on activities involving STEM – science, technology, engineering and math.
