The City School District of ÉðÊ¿Âþ» has experienced air conditioning challenges at several buildings early this week during the extreme heat and is working to resolve those issues as quickly as possible.

The equipment malfunction at Arbor Hill Elementary School that required all students to have a day of distance learning Tuesday has been repaired. Arbor Hill Elementary will resume its normal schedule for in-person instruction Wednesday.

Several other buildings had AC malfunctions and uncomfortable temperatures in some sections Tuesday as the heatwave continued, with outdoor temperatures in the high 80s.

That included the old academic building at ÉðÊ¿Âþ», the north wing of William S. Hackett Middle School, and some sections of Edmund J. O’Neal Middle School of Excellence, New Scotland Elementary School, and Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School.

Repair teams addressed all of these buildings Tuesday and we anticipate that these systems will be operating normally for the rest of the school year. We apologize for the inconvenience these equipment problems have caused for our students, faculty and staff.
