The ÉðÊ¿Âþ» Indoor Percussion Ensemble learned Sunday night that their outstanding semifinal performance qualified them to compete in the 2021 WGI world finals!

WGI, or Winter Guard International/Sport of the Arts, is the premier organization promoting indoor wintertime competitions in color guard, percussion and wind instruments.

The ÉðÊ¿Âþ» Indoor Percussion Ensemble is composed of middle- and high-school musicians simultaneously playing a variety of instruments and performing theater. Students play a multitude of percussion instruments including pitched bass, snare, tenor and timpani drums, along with cymbals, marimbas, xylophones, vibraphones and electric piano.

Due to COVID-19, all of WGI competitions this year are virtual. These photos are from the winning video the ÉðÊ¿Âþ» group recorded last Thursday and submitted to the semifinal competition.

On to the world finals April 17-18!
