William S. Hackett Middle School in-person sixth-grade students have shifted to a virtual instruction model through the holiday break due to the impact of COVID-19 on the building.

The ÉðÊ¿Âþ» County Health Department identified 18 additional contacts of a positive case at Hackett on Monday. All of these individuals are now quarantined at home. Due to the impact of this case on Hackett’s faculty and staff, the school cannot currently accommodate in-person teaching and learning for sixth grade.

All Hackett general education sixth-graders will remain virtual through Dec. 23, when the holiday break begins. The in-person instructional option for our sixth-graders will resume when we return from the break on Monday, Jan. 4.

The in-person option for Hackett’s self-contained special education students in grades 6-8 is not affected and will remain in place.

Grab and go” meal pickup is available each school day at Hackett from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Meal pickup also is available at 14 other district schools. Families can pick up breakfast and lunch each day.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact school at (518) 475-6475.
