Wearing face masks and observing social distancing, students, teachers and community members rolled up their sleeves Wednesday to donate blood at ÉðÊ¿Âþ».
ÉðÊ¿Âþ» High holds three drives each school year, and this was its third and final for 2019-20. Like other drives, Wednesdays’ was overseen by the American Red Cross. Unlike other drives, it was conducted with strict social distancing and sanitizing protocols in place, and required an appointment in advance.
Our community responded to the call for donors during this time of critical blood shortages, filling all 78 spots that were reserved for Wednesday.
Congratulations to senior Nina Bamberger, student coordinator of the drive, who will earn scholarship dollars from the Red Cross for her work organizing ÉðÊ¿Âþ» High’s blood drives this year. She worked under the guidance of faculty adviser Alicia Abdul.
