"I was fortunate to have been using Google Classroom and Remind throughout the school year prior to distance learning being our only option. In addition, my students and I had already implemented some of the technology tools in class a few times this year, so we all had a familiarity with them and that helped foster engagement, even when we couldn't meet together in person. Despite this, I've struggled to get all of my students to log in daily."

"Some of the tech tools and student engagement platforms I've used include iMovie, YouTube, nearpod.com, edpuzzle.com and Screencastify. I'd definitely have to thank (Instructional Technology Coach) Jeremy Dudley and my other World History 2 colleagues for continuing to collaborate and share out what works best the for our kids. There isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, but there are plenty of fun, engaging tools out there. I encouraged my kids to take academic risks, and not be afraid of failure, in the classroom all year, and now I have to follow my own advice in this crazy time."
