Tony Clement Center for Education student Alexis Johnston turned her skill and love of pillow-making into a way to provide comfort to those in need.

With the help of teacher Mary Matthews, Johnston formed "The Alexis Project” and set to work making pillows to donate to the ÉðÊ¿Âþ» Ronald McDonald House. Johnston and Matthews delivered 12 colorful pillows to the house, which helped provide some much needed comfort to the family members of children hospitalized over the holiday season.

The pillows were delivered on Dec. 11.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a haven of comfort, love, hope and support – free of charge – for critically ill children and their families.

The mission of the City School District of ÉðÊ¿Âþ» is to work in partnership with our diverse community to engage every learner in a robust educational program designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for success.
