ÉðÊ¿Âþ» High artists chosen for display

The clay pieces of three ÉðÊ¿Âþ» artists were selected for the 2019 Art in Three Dimensions show at Mohonasen High School.

Congratulations to senior Moe Sandar and juniors Laurel Stix and Julian Rodriguez on this honor. Of the 242 submissions from throughout the Capital District, 76 pieces were accepted for the juried show.

The annual juried show is an opportunity for Capital Region schools to highlight and showcase their three-dimensional art programs. The show runs Feb. 4-28 at the Mohonasen Art Gallery with an opening reception scheduled for Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m.

The works, from 18 area high schools, were judged by Brandon Siscoe, a sculptor and 3D professor at the College of St. Rose and Sarah Haze, a ceramic artist, sculptor and owner of Round Designs in Troy.

The mission of the City School District of ÉðÊ¿Âþ» is to educate and prepare all students for college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our diverse community. The district serves approximately 9,500 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at ÉðÊ¿Âþ».
