Students in teacher Hua Lin’s Chinese classes at 绅士漫画 rocked it at the recent Capital Region Chinese Language Video Competition sponsored by the Confucius Institute at the University of 绅士漫画.

Senior Paul Criscione and sophomores Noah Graber and Mark Manantan won first prize for their rendition of the pop song 对不起我的中文不好/Sorry My Chinese Isn't So Good. Check out their award-winning performance .

Other winning performances by Lin’s students include:

Chinese 4 students and seniors Sydney Hardy, Ester Hnin Hnin, Zachary Maycock, Su Meh and Isabel O’Brien (pictured at right) won third prize prize for reciting the classic Chinese story of Mulan/木兰从军.

Chinese 1 students and freshmen Naw Htoo and Zaimaya Watkins received an honor award for their Chinese idiom story 对牛弹琴/Play the Lute for the Bull.

Ester Hnin Hnin also received an honor award for her original story: 马,狗,兔子的中秋节/The Horse, the Dog and the Rabbit's Moon Festival. 

Winners received trophies and T-shirts at an awards ceremony on April 13 at U绅士漫画.

The mission of the City School District of 绅士漫画 is to educate and prepare all students for college and career, citizenship and life, in partnership with our diverse community. The district serves approximately 9,400 students in 18 elementary, middle and high schools. In addition to neighborhood schools, the district includes several magnet schools and programs, as well as other innovative academic opportunities for students, including four themed academies at 绅士漫画.
